FEEDBACK

Week 7 (06/11/23) General Feedback: I arrived late this time because my property management suddenly blocked my key card and I couldn't go out. I could only walk 15 minutes from school and had to wait for more than half an hour for a taxi and there was still traffic jam. Although the teacher said that this was not the reason for my being late, I was quite unwilling to do so. However, after I went back and learned about the entrance and exit of my residence, it was not a big problem. Specific Feedback: As a good designer, we should avoid miscommunication, so my previous efforts were not in vain. It’s just that this time I determined that it really doesn’t matter who gives me the revised feedback and I should update the feedback I wrote before (thanks to me). I have a backup before) Thanks to the teacher for the reminder.

Week 6 (30/10/23) General Feedback: When formatting text, be sure to find appropriate alignment points and spacing controls for maximum effect. Alignment is important when creating layouts. Your typography not only has to look beautiful, it also has to make sense. This is because while the font looks good, it doesn’t leave enough impact or resonate enough with the viewer to make an impact. The goal of body text formatting is to achieve a uniform black color throughout the text.

Specific Feedback: [layout]I think I should adjust my layout this time (the "ON" position mentioned last week) and then design an overall layout similar to the thumbnail one.

REFLECTIONS

Experience
I really enjoy the process of sharing and editing. Three text options can be selected from the previous task (Text Position Settings). First, provide a place to work while researching. I understood a lot of the important reasons, so I found that I became more interested. There are three different textures, so I wanted to design my own. So it's hard to find something unique.

Observations
As I observed my colleagues at work, I found that many of them could say the same sentence. We also understand that a person's personality is often reflected in their work. The other thing that I saw was the slave labor that I saw earlier, the grammar using the Bauhai script. As I was doing the first session before reading the final text, I realized that my ideas were influenced by the plan. That's why he chooses other books.

Findings
Task 2 The most important thing is to be clear and understandable. With an aesthetically pleasing design, you should consider creating the same design for both. Another thing I learned is the importance of thinking outside the box. This can only be done through study and reading. You'll find that your ideas and creations become more powerful.

FURTHER READING

"A Type Primer" 2nd Edition by John Kane

 A Type Primer 2nd Edition (2003)

Based on the list of books given, I have chosen A type primer to begin my further reading.

Week 6  2023.10.30
Chapter 5 - Columnar Organization
This chapter explains the importance of columns for formatting text. Because these columns maximize space on the page and balance grayscale values, it shows a comparison of a 2-column layout and a 5-column layout with 2 columns of text, and shows the difference between the spacing and grayscale values of the layout.

Week 7  2023.11.06
Chapter 5 - Columnar Organization
For the convenience of the reader, it is important to establish the layout hierarchy and differentiate it. This chapter explains how to create a hierarchy of information in text and why it is important. Additionally, sample fonts, font sizes, and other font characteristics are provided to make your work easier. Comparing and understanding the effects of typography and fonts is also important in determining the correct font, weight, and size.

Chapter 6 - Grid Systems
This chapter details the importance of horizontal and vertical beam systems compared to vertical column-only structures. The system plays an important role in organizing, clarifying and elucidating the meaning of the text, creating a good structure in your writing, especially when you create a system that suits your information, articles and errors. It is important to pay special attention to elements such as Readability and text hierarchy.

Overall, Introduction to Writing, Second Edition is designed to introduce readers to the basics of writing so that beginners can learn and improve their writing skills and knowledge.
