FINAL PROJECT
Then, as mentioned in the Feedback for Week 11 below, Mr. Martin complained that the "secret" in our script was not specific enough. I said that if it was more specific, the duration would be longer than 1 minute, but he still asked, "What is the secret?" I was so fucked💢...Fortunately, Wang JiHeng from the crew noticed that something was wrong, so he came up to Mr. Martin and told him to rework the script and start filming. Then Mr. Martin said OK.
So the following is the clip we filmed in week 12 ↓
Then Wang JiHeng gave me a rough cut and asked me to add BGM.

Then, I added it. But before exporting, I need to show it to Mr. Martin.
After watching it, Martin said it was not acceptable because it was too long and there were no special effects shots. So what are special effects shots? First of all, those with green screen animation and keying are not considered special effects. So what is considered a special effect? The example he gave on my MacBook is↓
Then I followed his meaning and asked if the following was considered a special effect.
He said, "Now I finally understand?" So he asked me how to modify it. My answer was that I shot a scene in the middle where I had a conflict with my crew members. As shown in scenes 4 and 5 in the storyboard below (even though I didn't draw the storyboard at that time), a hand reached out from the screen and grabbed my collar. This part was shot on green screen and turned into a special effect in Adobe After Effects and inserted into Adobe Premiere Pro. Then he said, "Well, if you can do it, just change it like this."
So after that week, I was "forced" to take the single-pass route. First, in order to complete the above storyboard scenes 4 and 5, I went to the 🏠 of a senior student who had studied this module last year to help me complete the shooting.
Then the following are two retakes for green screen effects.
Then I modified my script as shown below ↓
And to complete scene 5, I asked him to re-record the audio↓.
After post-production editing, special effects synthesis, and a series of operations that I am too lazy to describe in detail...
Then in the last week, which was the 14th week, Martin asked me to shorten the phone call and add subtitles. Then I will improve it as follows↓

Oh, by the way, the following three are the background music I found.

You have be asking me why I don't add subtitles when you see this. If you want to watch my videos with subtitles, you can also find the one below

The reason why I don't want to add subtitles to the video is because... I exported the subtitles below↓
If the link we are asked to submit is a YouTube link...
After all, no one would be so stupid as not to use the subtitle function.
So...

  • FEEDBACK
Week 9:This week, Mr. Martin asked us to choose whether to do a stop-motion animation as an individual final project or to choose one, two, or three classmates to form a group for a final project. So I was in a group with Wang JiHeng, and Mr. Martin asked us to choose an item from the tarot deck. We chose the second item, "Justice."

Week 11:This week, I started writing the script. I asked Mr. Martin about the required time and theme. He said that I should use the definitions in the script I chose last time and choose the interpretations to write the script. It should not be too long, only about one minute. The storyboard and other details should be in the PPT of LECTURES above. I wrote a first draft at the beginning. After reading it, Martin asked me, "What secret does the protagonist feel guilty about?" This "secret" must be explained. Then Wang JiHeng called me back when he saw that something was wrong and told Martin that we would revise the script.

Week 12:We didn't have classes this week, and Wang JiHeng went to my place for a video shoot.

Week 13:Then this week, Wang JiHeng  and I worked separately. Why? Because 4. Mr. Martin said that we did it wrong and there were no special effects shots. We found our own special effects, but Martin thought that adding transitions, filters, or green screen keying effects, which are something that everyone can do, is not called special effects. Then Wang JiHeng  suggested that we work separately. I said, "Wouldn't it be like we each do stop-motion animation after we split up?" So I asked Martin again. In the end, he re-shot and re-edited it by himself, and I continued to follow up (change) the progress of my work.

Week 14:Despite MARTIN CHONG YUH LIN’s nitpicking, I still managed to complete the final project of this week. The following is the content of the conversation between him and me: “What was the content of your phone call? Why are there two parts?” → “My storyline is that my groupmate and I had a conflict and scolded me first, and then apologized to me later” → “This content is boring and long, will anyone read it?” → “Then I deleted it?” → “Just add subtitles on top and shorten it here” → “OK” → “Okay, do as I say and your Final is over.”

    REFLECTION
These tutors only know how to make their modules more difficult for students without considering whether the students can handle other courses. Md, I am in the fourth semester (the busiest semester) but my instructor thought I was in the second semester and put me on hold to take more difficult courses. If a student like me can produce director-level works, do I really need to take this module here?
