Project 1

    Instruction

    Instructable Infographics Poster

This is a screenshot of the task instructions for the 3rd week.

In the third week of class, Mr. Shamsul Hamimi Ab. Rahman showed us a video ↓.

This video need be used as material in the poster we need to make.

I looked at the cases in the PPT.

I watched the video once and then sketched the process in Adobe Illustrator.
Then when I went to Adobe Photoshop to make a poster, I realized that I was just overthinking it when I was drafting it.

The size of the poster is 2048x2048 pixels.

    Final poster submission:
    Sketch:

In the fourth week of class, Mr.Shamsul HamimiAb.Rahman said that my design could not be called a poster and showed me examples from other students for reference. So I regarded the scrapped project I uploaded as a sketch and revised it again.

Then I redesigned it in Adobe Illustrator and finally created it in Adobe Photoshop with dimensions of 1240 × 1750 pixels for export.

Then Mr. Hamimi said that my font did not match the style of the entire poster, so I changed the font of the title.

    Final Poster Submission:

    Feedback

    Week 3 (21/02/24):
Watch the video in the instructions and make a draft first, then do the final design.

    Week 4 (28/02/24):
To redesign the poster, the picture materials need to be drawn or created by myself, screenshots from the Internet cannot be used as materials.

    Reflection

    Experience
Don't waste too much resources, energy and time on plans or drafts. Preparation is necessary, but don’t be overprepared. First make a very poor finished product, then give feedback and continue iterating to finally make a satisfactory finished product.

    Observation
I observed that by completing this project, I still have a lot of room for improvement in my ability to create infographic posters.

    Findings
After creating many resources, I found that I actually thought too much about the process. Many of the materials or plans I created in the draft were not very necessary or even troublesome when I finally worked on them.
